The PUNCHBOWL Summer Food Exposition. BBQ’d delights, meat on a spit, fresh fish, vegan faire and so many other options will be prepared by several of the city’s best chefs. A staunch individualist, Breen preferred hands-on training to a formal culinary education, working the lines at restaurants across Canada. Eventually, the Vancouverite’s wanderlust took him to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he won accolades — and several awards — for his eclectic cuisine. Dubbed “The Canadian Rebel,” by local media, he was a driving force behind such hotspots as La Cave French Bistro, Marco Pierre White Grill, and Maine Oyster Bar and Grill.

That said, the anchor of this amazing experience are the summer cocktails, based with spirits, craft beers and ciders. PUNCHBOWL will be working with the finest local and international spirit, beer and cider companies to showcase their products during the event.
PUNCHBOWL is summer. It’s outdoors, it’s sunshine, it’s hot air with that cool breeze. In the magical summers of Vancouver, what better thing could someone want to do other than be outside, listening to live music, enjoying devilishly good cocktails and enjoying amazing BBQ from Vancouver’s top chefs and restaurants, all while spending time with friends.
Expect nothing but the best summer time jams as we showcase the best local talent Vancouver has to offer. The Big Easy Funk Ensemble celebrates the amazing variety of music that has grown out of New Orleans. BEFE (pronounced 'beefy') mixes many genres of funk, jazz, rock and blues to create high energy infectious grooves. The 9-member band includes a 3-piece horn section, a rhythm section, keyboards/organ, drums, percussion and vocals.
